BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Five people were injured after a shooting at Burnsville’s Red Oak Park on Friday evening.
In a statement released Saturday morning, police said officers arrived at the park, located off Highway 77, around 8:15 p.m. They found multiple people injured, three of whom were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
One person took themselves to a local hospital and another was treated at the scene and released.
Police say details about the extent of victims’ injuries are not available.
Officials are asking the public to avoid the area as they investigate the incident. No one has been arrested.
