    Description

    Pepper Paste is a thick, deep red paste made from red chili peppers or sweet Shepperd long pepper and salt. First the peppers are separated from stem and the seeds, then the pepper is crushed and salt added. The crushed peppers are sun-dried for 6-7 days depending on the strength of the sun until it gets intense sun-dried flavor and paste consistency. It is a part of cuisines of Anatolia and is enjoyed by different ethnic groups in the region. It is used mainly for flavoring main dishes, as well as to fill pita,pizza and börek. Another common use is as a spread, typically on bread or crackers.
