Thank you for checking out my listing! Up for bid today is a nice vintage 1963 AMT promo model of the Chevy Nova Station Wagon in silver. There is no box for this neat 1:25 scale model. These were used by salesmen to show off the new vehicles to prospective buyers. Details were a key point, with such inclusion as the
upholstery
of the seats, the design of the dashboard, the paneling of the doors, the headlights and taillights, emblems, and more! These were a great, compact way for salesmen to show off the latest models! This car is no exception, with all sorts of great detail included in its design.
This model is not in mint condition. As was the case with many of these old models, it was given to a child to enjoy as a nice toy. Because of that, there are scratches throughout the model. The roof and sides show the heaviest ware, but the scratches are not limited to those areas. There is wear to the tires and hub caps, as well as scratches on the windows. There are numerous small dings as well. The inside is dusty/dirty, as I only cleaned the exterior as I did not want to take it apart and risk breaking anything.That said, this model is still in great shape for its age! There are no broken or missing pieces! The details still show through beautifully, and displays very nicely, even in full sun as seen in the photos. If you are looking for a perfect example, this one does not fit the bill, but it still is a great piece of automobile history and would be a perfect addition to a collection. Keep as is or "restore" it to match your classic Nova!
Overall this catalog is a fantastic model, and would be perfect for a Nova Station Wagon owner or collector!
